Happy Wetlands Day®EEHC_0006

Greetings on Wetlands Day_02February ®005

As per Wikipedia …A wetland is a land area that is saturated with water, either permanently or seasonally, such that it takes on the characteristics of a distinct ecosystem[1,2]. The primary factor that distinguishes wetlands from other land forms or water bodies is the characteristic vegetation of water plants[3 & 4],that adapt to the hydric soils. Wetlands are very important for environment, like pollution control, water purification, control of floods, as carbon sink as well as for stability of shorelines. These wetlands are best biologically diverse ecosystems, protecting and nurturing huge percentage of biodiversity.
